Introduction to AquaTraq Single Zone Water Leak Detection System
A water Leak Detection system is a device that is installed in a facility so that it can detect water leakage in that facility and inform the user with different types of alarms when water touches to sensor or comes in the vicinity of the sensor.

Product Description of AquaTraq Leak Detection System
The AquaTraq range of single water leak detection systems is designed to monitor for water leakage detection in critical areas such as data centers and server rooms. Available as a stand-alone alarm panel the AquaTraq can be connected to a variety of devices to monitor for leaks. AquaTraq water leak detection system can easily be mounted on walls with the help of four screws at its four corners. This leak detection system is provided with a battery that gets charged in the absence of the main Power supply battery will provide power to the panel. On detection of a water leak, the panel will output an audible alarm and illuminate an LED.
LED Indication on Water Leakage Detection System Panel
The panel has the following LED indications:
- System Live – A green LED will be illuminated to show that the AquaTraq has power to it.
- Line Fault – This LED shows a red indication in case of a fault or break of the sensor cable. At the end of the sensing cable or connected to the sensing probe is a resistor. The AquaTraq continuously monitors the resistor to ensure that there hasn’t been any disconnection or damage to the cabling. When all is “Ok” the LED is green. If a fault occurs, the colour changes to red.
- Zone Alarm – This LED will flash red if a water leak is detected and an audible alarm will activated.
- Mute Button – Press this button when the AquaTraq has gone into alarm (line fault or leak detected) to silence the buzzer (the LED will remain illuminated).

The AquaTraq panel consists of the following terminals:
- Sensor Terminal: With the help of this terminal we can connect the sensor (wire or probe type) to the leak detection panel.
- Battery Connection Terminal: The AquaTraq water leak detection system has a provision to connect the battery inside the panel. The panel will charge the battery during normal operation when the main power is available. During an emergency when mains power is not available the panel is powered from the battery. For protection battery fuse is provided.
- Relay Output: AquaTraq panel provided with 2 relay outputs of 8 amp each. This relay output we can use to integrate the panel with the BMS system or fire alarm panel or for connection remote panel. Aquatraq panels also can be used for residential water leak detection. These relay outputs can be used to activate valves with panels used for water line leak detection equipment for homes.
- Reset1 Terminal: This is the relay output terminal. This is used to time/date stamp the BMS when the mute button is pressed following an alarm (the relay will switch from closed to open).
- Mains Connection Terminal: Line, earth, and neutral terminals are provided to connect mains power to the panel. For protection fuse is provided at the mains.
- Sensitivity Adjustment Pot: As shown in the above picture there is a blue coloured pot provided to adjust the sensitivity of leak detection. Sometimes due to pure water even though water touches the sensor cable panel, the alarm is not initiated due to low sensitivity or gives a false alarm due to high humidity. In such cases, we can increase or decrease the sensitivity of the panel by turning the pot clockwise or in an anti-clockwise direction respectively.
