The FS4 probe water detection sensor is constructed with durability and precision in mind, utilizing high-quality materials and a robust design. The main sensing part of the detector is supported on a stainless steel bracket that provides stable and secure mounting. Attached to this bracket is a height-adjustable sensor holder, which is secured by a hexagon nut and features a knurled ring for easy manual adjustment. This allows the tubular sensor body to be moved up or down within the holder to achieve the desired detection height. The main body casing is also made up of stainless steel which provides resistance to corrosion and physical damage.
At the base of the tubular body of this water leak detection sensor, two integrated stainless-steel probes are designed to detect water with high accuracy. These probes are connected internally to a terminal block located in the upper part of the sensor body, which can be accessed by removing the top cap.
The top cap may feature a fitted cable gland for secure and protected cable entry. A two-wire leader cable is used to connect the sensor to the control unit, ensuring reliable communication and power supply. The whole design of this water probe sensor is both robust and flexible. It is suitable for installing ACs on floors, walls, or drip trays for targeted leakage detection.
When water encounters the stainless-steel probes of this water detection sensor at the base of the sensor, an electrical circuit between the probes is completed. This change in electrical continuity is detected by the sensor. The change in electrical continuity is transmitted via the two-wire leader cable to the connected control unit. The control unit processes the signal from the sensor and, if water is detected, triggers an alarm. This alarm can be visual or audible, depending on the system configuration.
CtrlTech water leak probe sensor is no match because of its easy-to-change probe height which makes sure to change as per the different types of needs. Typically situated on bunded floors, it guarantees comprehensive water leak detection across various points of concern.
A normal probe water detection sensor can check around 3 inches (7.62 centimeters) in length, 1 inch (2.54 centimeters) in wide, and 0.5 inches (1.27 centimeters) in height, by weighing only 28 grams or less.
Also, our sensors are made to keep the comfort of the people using them in mind by giving them easy to set up as well as a people-friendly look. With less maintenance needs, you can depend on our system for non-stop monitoring with no need for the trouble of regular check-ups.

Easy Integration
It is designed to seamlessly integrate with existing systems to increase monitoring coverage.
An ideal water probe sensor should have key properties to properly find water leakages and handle them before damage happens. Below are some of the points it must cover.
Durable Construction
Made from corrosion-resistant materials such as stainless steel to withstand harsh environments and provide long-term reliability.
Operating Temperature
Water detection sensors should be capable of operating in extreme temperatures, typically from -20°C to +70°C, to ensure reliability.
Manual Sensitivity Setting
On-site adjustment capability to fine-tune the sensitivity of the sensor according to the specific requirements of the application.
Compact Design
It should have a compact form factor to fit into tight spaces with the versatility to install on hard and flexible surfaces that suit every site.
Adjustable Detection Height

Water probe sensors are a big advantage for you as they provide peace of mind and easily connect with smart systems for good water management. Some of the advantages of these units over the cable and point sensors are as follows:
Localized Detection
Probe water detection sensors offer precise detection over the targeted area. A cable detector detects along its length which may not be precise.
Easy Installation
Probe sensors are easier to install as they do not require long lengths of cable to be laid out and secured, reducing setup time and complexity.
Scalability
Adding more probe-type detectors to a detection system is straightforward and does not require extensive rewiring, unlike extending cable sensor systems.
Enhanced Reliability
The solid-state design of probe liquid leak sensors means fewer points of failure compared to the many connection points in a cable system.
Focused Monitoring
It provides targeted monitoring in critical areas, ensuring that key points are specifically protected. Whereas cable sensors provide broader but less focused coverage.
Simplified Troubleshooting
Unlike a cable sensor, the issues with water detection sensors can be identified and resolved more easily due to their localized nature within a short time.
Durability
Constructed from stainless steel, it is more robust and corrosion-resistant compared to cable sensors, making them suitable for harsh environments.
Versatility in Mounting
Probe leak detectors offer greater flexibility in placement compared to cable sensors, which need to be laid out along hard and flexible surfaces.
Cost Saving
In all aspects, a probe-type device is much cheaper than a water-sensing wire. Ten meters of leak cable can be as good as double the cost of a probe water sensor.
Quick Replacement
If it needs to be replaced, it can be done quickly without spending much money and without the need to handle extensive lengths of cable, minimizing downtime.
Lower Maintenance Costs
The simple design and fewer components of these water detection sensors mean they require less frequent maintenance and are easier to clean and inspect.
Reduced False Alarms
With localized detection, it is less prone to false alarms caused by minor spills or condensation that may affect the entire length of a cable sensor.
